Bowditch Point Park
Bowditch Park is a 17-acre beachfront park situated on the sandy shores of Fort Myers Beach, Florida. It is known for its heavy vegetation, un-crowded beaches and amenity rich facilities. These amenities include picnic tables, grills, restrooms, outside rinse showers and changing rooms. Along with beach activities there is also hiking trails. The amenities are currently unavailable due to Hurricane Ian. Check with Lee County Parks & Recreation for updates.
Parking for the beach is located about 1/4 of a mile (about a 10 minute walk) from the beach access. The parking lot is open dawn to dusk and costs $2.00 per hour.

Hurricane survivor does it right. Our first visit to Sanibel and the Island Inn was a great choice. The room was perfect - very clean and well-appointed with a full kitchen, comfortable furniture and a huge screened in deck patio. Convenient parking under the building, and centrally located on a great section of beach. The staff was great in our limited contacts, and made the check in and out process very easy. Staff also sets up and takes down beach umbrellas for guest use a great touch. There was lots of construction (they continue to rebuild after Hurricane Ian) but the noise was very low and almost unnoticeable from the beach. Looking forward to what they accomplish in the coming year. read more
