Cottages

My sisters and I love the Island Inn! We have a Sisters Trip to Sanibel Island every spring and we always stay at the Island Inn. We love the Phister Cottage and try to reserve it every year. The Island Inn is absolutely wonderful. It is quiet and peaceful. The grounds are beautiful and there are several interesting historical buildings on the large property. We visit in May each year, which is a nice, quiet time on the island, uncrowded and not many children at that time of year, so the pool is quiet and pleasant. The other guests are typically very friendly and easy to converse with, sharing advice about fun things to do on the island, restaurants, etc. Of course the beach is the big draw and we spend all day on the beach. The Island Inn staff sets out large umbrellas on the beach every morning. Perfect! Just grab a beach chair for yourself and bring it down to the beach (easy to do) and sit under an umbrella all day. In the evening, the Traditions Bar is a great place for a cool drink. The rooms are very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The housekeepers are friendly and efficient. The beach is beautiful with lots of shells. We have seen manatees swim by, and of course dolphins. The super friendly office staff are always helpful and welcoming. What do I like about the Island Inn? Everything. What do I not like? No complaints here. We will return again and again!
