Bowman’s Beach
If you’re looking for privacy, Bowman’s Beach is the Sanibel Island Beach for you. At Bowman’s Beach you will find large expanses of beach without a soul in sight. All the space makes for great shelling and long walks. Speaking of walks there is a 1/4 mile walk from the parking lot to the beach. The water at Bowman’s Beach has more of a current through it so it is cool and pristine.
The beach features; 50 acres, outside changing rooms, outside showers, drinking fountains, soda machine, barbecue grills, restrooms, picnic areas, play ground, shade pavilion, fitness trail, shell information kiosk, 220 parking spaces and handicapped accessible (free handicapped parking).
Open daily, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Parking for the beach is located about 1/4 of a mile (about a 10 minute walk) from the beach access. The parking lot is open 7AM to 7PM and costs $5.00 per hour.

A Sunny Return We returned to The Island Inn for our first visit since Hurricane Ian and was heartened to see construction underway and Sanibel rebounding. We had a beautiful ocean-view room for six nights in the Matthews Lodge, which was extremely quiet and included a screened in balcony patio and a fully equipped kitchen. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We encourage you to support this historic property.
